The research theme of cardiac tissue engineering was selected due to the high prevalence and severity of heart diseases and the limitations of currents treatments: cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally.

A comprehensive literature review was conducted, and the findings were presented using a visually appealing design, structured around the four pillars of tissue engineering, with a strong emphasis on future innovations.
